Evaluation of the Effective Factors for Reducing

(Case Study: Shahid Rajaei Port in Iran)

Abstract
Container Dwell Time is one of the main factors for evaluating performance of ports. The time a container spends for clearance, is a real cost scenario which will affect the port performance and throughput at any part of that port. The aim of this paperis to evaluate effective factors of container dwell time in ports of Iran. We employ ten effective factors, and with a questioner and statistical operation select main effective factors. Then offer suitable strategy for reducing container dwell time in Shahid Rajaie port and other ports of Iran.
